Formed by Theodor Herzl, the World Zionist Congress helps to allocate over $2.5 billion annually from 4 of the largest nonprofits in the Jewish world (World Zionist Organization, Keren Kayemet LeYsrael-Jewish National Fund, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and Keren Hayesod-United Israel Appeal). These funds support Israeli society and Jewish communities all over the world. Elections are held every five years to determine which organizations will represent the Jewish people in the World Zionist Congress.
